The family room was super spacious with two singles and a double bed, perfect. We had beautiful views of the village lit up at night. The bathroom was large and had everything we needed, including a separate shower and bath. The beds were comfy with great mattresses and plenty of pillows. There were even extra throws in the wardrobe. Had a fab sleep! Plus, nice extras like quality toiletries and a hairdryer.

I had a fine room with a great view of the valley, bedroom and a freshen up decor wise. The location was handy, about 10-minute walk into town. It was set in a domestic area.
Well, Wi-Fi was very poor.

Comfortable stay with great local food
We loved the cozy double room with a garden view, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The dining experience was the highlight-breakfast was freshly cooked with quality ingredients, and the restaurant's ambience was upgraded with fine views of Simonside Hills. The staff were friendly. A small improvement would be to have a wider non-alcoholic drink selection in the bar area.

Couples seeking a treat
Had a fantastic night with my partner. The food was a revelation, I mean, the roast beef dinner was really excellent, just melt in your mouth, it was that good. Plus, the breakfast? Best full English I've ever had. Quality ingredients, cooked just right, and that view while eating, lovely.
Now, it wasn't exactly a bargain, let's be real.

Had an awesome getaway with friends! Perfect base for adventures, checking out Cragside House and enjoying the fine walks in the nearby hills. The rooms were comfy and clean with a great breakfast to fuel our days. Super friendly staff made it even better. Highly recommend!
Just a small issue with the dinner menu. The main courses didn't really match our expectations, leaving us a bit underwhelmed compared to the tasty starters.
